Cows are the favorite animals of many children and even adults. And if you can’t give them a real cow because they just won’t have room, then you can crochet an adorable little amigurumi cow for them!
This cute crochet cow Sylvia can also be a great farmhouse decoration. What’s more, beginners can cope with this simple pattern (although there are more complex stitches here, but you will succeed, we know)

Materials
- Orange and white Yarn with a corresponding crochet hook
- Stuffing
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- Satin ribbon 1cm wide
- Colors: white, pink and beige

Mr: magic ring
C: chain
Sc: single crochet
Hdc: half double crochet
Dc: double crochet
Inc: increase

Do the following sequence inside the magic ring:
2 Hdc, 2 Sc, Hdc, 2 Sc,2 Hdc, Sl St.
Close the ring.
Head
Round 1: Magic ring with 6 Sc
Round 2: Inc x6 (12)
Round 3: (1 Sc, Inc)*6 (18)
Round 4: (2 Sc, Inc)*6 (24)
Round 5: (3 Sc, Inc)*6 (30)
Round 6-10: 30 Sc (30); (5 carreiras)
Round 11: (3 Sc, Dec)*6 (24)
Round 12: (2 Sc, Dec)*6 (18); (fill with fiber)
Round 13: (1 Sc, Dec)*6 (12)
Fasten off.
Ears x2
Round 1: Magic ring with 6 Sc
Round 2: 2 Inc, Incmpa, Incpa, Incmpa, Aum
Fold and sew on the head.
Horns
Round 1: Am de 4 Sc
Round 2: 4 Sc
Break yarn and sew on the head.
Nose
Round 1: 5 Chains
Round 2: Skip 1 C, Inc, 2 Sc, 3 Sc on the last chain, 2 Sc, Inc (11)
Round 3: Inc, booble of 4 Sc, 2 Sc, booble of 4 Dc, Inc, 5 Sc (13)
Round 4: 9 Sc, 2 Dec (11)
Break yarn and sew on the head.
Booble of 4 Dc: make 4 incomplete Dc as shown in the image and close all together. Check example image with 3pa.
Handle for key ring
Make a chain foundation of the desired size (30 for example), and work back doing Sl St until the end. Fasten off and hide the ends.
Tassel
Use a base with the desired size for the tassel (for example i used a small diary), wrap the thread several times until it is very full, and cut only one side.
Fold the threads together in half and pass with white thread making kind of clamp to hold everything in place.
Sew on the bottom of the pig’s head.
Assembly
According to the picture
- Sew the ears
- Embroider eyes and nose
