Little Amigurumi Crochet Bee Pattern

This cute little bee pattern is very simple to make.

This tutorial starts with a magic circle and uses basic crochet skills such as chain stitch, single crochet, how to switch between colors, and how to increase/decrease in a single crochet stitch.

The bee body is made in one piece, then add wings to the body, also This tutorial includes how to embroider eyes with black and white embroidery yarn.

For a bigger amigurumi bee, try working the pattern using chunky yarn. just be sure to choose a crochet hook suitable for the new yarn weight.

Materials

• Cotton yarn 8/4 (any yarn should work)
• Yellow
• Black
• White
• Light pink
• Crochet hook 2.5 mm (or matching yarn of your choice)
• Black sewing thread
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors
• Pins (optional)
• Stitch markers (optional)

Abbreviations

Mr – magic ring
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase
Dec – decrease
St(s) – stitch/stitches
(…)* – repeat
R – row
(…) – number of stitches in the round

Head & Body

With yellow and black yarn. Start with yellow.

Round 1: Make a Mr, crochet 6 sc in the Mr and pull together (6)
Round 2: 1 inc in each st of the round (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
Round 4: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)
Round 5: (3 sc, inc)*6 (30)
Round 6: sc each st of the round (30)

Change color to black.

Round 7-8: sc each st if the round (30)

Change color to yellow.

Round 9-10: sc each st of the round (30)
Round 11-14: repeat rounds 7-10

Change color to black.

Round 15-16: sc each st of the round (30)

Change color to yellow, cut and secure the black yarn.

Round 17: (3 sc, 1 dec)*6 (24)
Round 18: (2 sc, dec)*6 (18)

Start to stuff.

Round 19: (1 sc, dec)*6 (120

Stuff the body some more.

Round 20: (dec)*6 (6)

Fasten off with a slip st and leave yarn tail for sewing. Sew together and weave in the yarn tail.

Embroider

Eyes

Embroider the eyes on round 4, and make them 2-3 sc long. Start with black yarn and do a few stitches, then use white yarn to add the small stitch in the middle and the stitch on the side of the eye.

Finish with black yarn and do a small stitch on the side as an eyelash.

Cheeks

With light pink yarn, do 3-4 stitches just under the eyes.

Eyebrow

With black sewing thread, make a stitch just over the eyes.

Wings

With white yarn.

Round 1: Make a Mr, crochet 6 sc in the Mr and pull together (6)
Round 2: 1 inc in each st of the round (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc)*6 (18)
Round 4: (2 sc, inc)*6 (24)

Fasten off with a sl st and leave yarn tail for sewing. Sew the wings from round 7/8 to round 12/13 on the top of the body.
